BIG DATA ENGINEER
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative software engineer to design and develop massively parallel applications and systems.

ListenLogic is the leading provider of social business intelligence that helps Global 1000 companies manage risk, engage with customers and drive innovation. We are working on very innovative solutions for challenging problems in the areas of streaming, real-time, large data visualization and interaction.

We collect 100’s of millions of data snippets daily, from social networks, blogs, forums, and news sites. We classify, index and store these 100’s of millions of items per day in real time, with average latency times of 40 milliseconds. Our classification system makes use of lexical, semantic, and statistical classifiers. These filters continuously adapt and evolve through the use of innovative machine learning techniques.

Simultaneously, we extract author and publisher information. We harvest and augment demographic information using sophisticated text and image analysis algorithms. It’s all about fast, real-time data processing, and big data storage. Supercomputing, multi-level systolic pipelines, map-reduce beyond the capabilities of Hadoop. Stochastic cloud resource scheduling, dynamic process migration, 1000’s of cpus, terabytes of memory, petabytes of storage.

Candidates applying for this position must have experience with distributed systems and parallel (multi-threaded, multi-process, multi-system) programming Candidates must have an in-depth understanding of computer systems architecture, inter-process communication and synchronization.

Experience with the following technologies is desirable:
